no ducklings today, but I will add a cute snail and frog pic that missed an earlier blog.
lets have a neighbour day.
I have a ninety year old neighbour who brings in our seven bins and loves to garden.
I try to help without depriving him of doing what he can.
I have a new Asian neighbour and we share a small garden patch.
I brought a Japanese maple and a rose from my old garden.
We agreed last night that the maple could be moved.
Now I think I will let him use my patch as a vegetable garden.
Why not?
I can still grow herbs in pots.
Please do something kind for a neighbour today.
Our world is getting smaller, but so many of us these days do not have support of family.
Now for the frog and snail
Hope your day is great.

On a serious note

enough cute..feeling contemplative today so will share some quotes.
Cute will be back!

“To live is so startling, it leaves but little room for other occupations.”
– Emily Dickinson, letter

“If someone wants you in their life, they’ll make room for you. You shouldn’t have to fight for a spot. Never, ever insist yourself to someone who continuously overlooks your worth.”

I see the world gradually being turned into a wilderness. I hear the ever-approaching thunder, which will destroy us too. I can feel the sufferings of millions and yet, if I look up into the heavens, I think that it will all come right. In the meantime, I must uphold my ideals, for perhaps the time will come when I shall be able to carry them out.

these all resonated with me today. enjoy.

French Cuisine (live)

OK…the frogs still have legs, and the snails no garlic…yet!

froggy pics..

some froggy quotes?.

someone loves frogs..

and now for the snails…

She was a plump little English snail,
He was of French extraction.
The channel rolled between them,
But he loved her to distraction.
He asked her through the telephone
In tones of deep emotion.
If she would brave the seas for him
And cross the stormy ocean.
“No thank you,sir,”she coyly said,
“I love you but no matter,
I could not feel at home in France
Where snails are fried in batter.”

and finally, both heading for the kitchen…
