dare to be an individual.
Stand out from the crowd..
and of course a laugh..
Anzac Day…someone mentioned that during the two world wars , the reason conscientious objectors were not a problem was because it was only a small minority.
Many of them felt strongly, but if everyone did as they did, history would have proved different.
It made me think. If I or a small group think something is OK, a good question might be, would it be the right thing if everybody did it?
photo a day…piles( not haemorrhoids )
a pile of laughs..
feeling sad today, two friends are being buried and another on life support.
And my very special aunt is failing fast, in hospital with pneumonia.
Yes, I know I am getting older, but not that old, I have three years to go till seventy,
when I will be officially oldish.
sometimes we hide our feelings on days like this, but feelings are real.
These images and quotes express how I feel today.
my husband hated owls, think it was the way those big eyes stared at him.
I think they are cute.
here are some owl images
and some ‘wise’ quotes..
A wise old owl sat on an oak.
The more he heard the less he spoke,
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Lets all be like that wise old bird.
and an owlish laugh..
enjoyed reading other blogs today…some good thinkers here.
My volunteer work for Compassionate Friends brings me in touch with other bereaved parents. Butterflies are an image we share, I guess because they are so beautiful, but their life is short.
We can all relate to being a caterpillar, then in a cocoon. And finally a beautiful butterfly emerges.
